Fentanyl is a powerful synthetic that is similar to heroin but 50 times stronger and 100 times stronger than morphine. It has limited prescription use but it remains addictive due to its strength. Iboga and Ibogaine are extremely effective at treating and reversing the effects of Fentanyl addiction. There are two types of fentanyl: pharmaceutical fentanyl and illicitly manufactured fentanyl. Both are considered to be highly addictive and potentially fatal. Pharmaceutical fentanyl is prescribed by a doctor to treat pain, as an anesthetic after surgery or for advanced-stage cancer. Fentanyl withdrawal is not always life threatening but can be extremely unpleasant. The severity of symptoms depends on the amount and type of use, duration of use, and any base physical and mental health conditions. With Ibogaine, we can effectively shut down withdrawal symptoms as well as “addiction receptors” in the brain. Our facility maintains a medical staff that will evaluate each client to be cleared for an Ibogaine flood. There is a brief period of rest and relaxation during which the client can settle into their private bungalow, tour the facility and get acquainted with our program. Stabilizing medications are provided during the primary detox phase along with IV therapy and a holistic diet.
Ibogaine has been incredibly effective in treating not only the symptoms of withdrawal but also the underlying cause of the problem. The experience of ibogaine occurs in two parts, termed the visionary phase and the introspection phase. The visionary phase has been described asan enhanced “oneirogen” state, referring to the dreamlike nature of its psychedelic effects, and lasts upwards of 4 hours. Many people that suffer from substance abuse also suffer from underlying trauma. The second phase, the introspection phase, is responsible for the “psychotherapeutic” effects. It can allow people to transcend their fears and negative emotions. Ibogaine creates a state of consciousness also similar to dreaming while fully conscious. The person is aware enough that memories, life experiences, and trauma can be processed.
Once the client has been medically cleared, the Ibogaine test dose will be administered to determine that no allergy to the medicine is present. The client will then receive the first flood dose under medical supervision. Medical staff will continue to monitor the person's vitals and blood pressure throughout the duration of the flood. The person will experience a profound feeling of introspection and personal awakening. The root of the addiction can be targeted and dealt with.
Ibogaine has unique pharmacological properties, including a broad spectrum of binding actions on receptor sites as an agonist (hallucinogenic) and antagonist (anti addictive). Once a person has completed the Ibogaine treatment, they will feel a profound sense of relief and the desire to live life again. The mind will continue healing even after the Ibogaine protocol is finalized.
Unfortunately the amount of fentanyl-related overdoses linked specifically to illicitly manufactured fentanyl is exploding all over the world. With its distribution through illegal drug markets for its heroin-like effects, Fentanyl has become an epidemic in and of itself. It is often added to other drugs to make them cheaper, more powerful, more addictive, and by default, more dangerous.
